About Me

Welcome to Answering Your Call!
One of my greatest joys is journeying with those who want to pursue purpose in a more focused and fruitful way while grounded in the presence and power of Christ. I have served as a minister and as a career advisor for over 25 years, and have learned much from working both in the local church and in the marketplace.

I pray that the following words describe you after connecting with me here at Answering Your Call (or elsewhere):

Encouraged.  Over the course of my life, I’ve experienced fear of rejection, failure and success.  When I began in ministry, I felt awkward and isolated, like a misfit who didn’t measure up.  I have had to confront and overcome fear to move forward and embrace my unique strengths and callings.  As a result, my goal is to inspire you to walk in your God-given identity and purpose with focus, clarity and courage.

Equipped.  I am growing more and more aware of the importance of the pairing of the inspirational and the practical.  My work in career development has allowed me to develop a resourcefulness as I share helpful information and tools that you can use right away to get started in achieving your goals.

Empowered.  There is nothing more gratifying to me than seeing someone discover their own purpose and walk in it.  I am a Certified Career Management Coach via The Academies, have received additional coach training from Coaching for Today’s Leaders. My desire is to provide an environment where you can move out of your comfort zone and toward fulfilling your potential.

As one in bivocational ministry, I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed and distracted in the midst of a full life.  This motivated me to join a two-year community of leaders where I experienced the blessing of spiritual practices while completing doctoral studies in spiritual formation.  Since then, spiritual renewal, self-discovery and strategic action in my day-to-day life continue to be vital for me.

As a speaker, writer and coach, I offer you a sacred space to reflect on your journey, refocus on your calling, and refresh your spirit for more sustainable impact in your ministry and career.

Abundant grace & peace to you,

Sharon
